Christmas Island

Known as the Galapagos of the Indian Ocean, Christmas Island is arguably one of Australia's best locations to photograph seabirds. 

This remote oceanic island is of international conservation significance and an important breeding site for six breeding seabirds, including four species or sub-species that are found nowhere else in the world, including the incredibly beautiful Golden Bosunbird.

Lord Howe Island

Lord Howe Island is located 600 km off the coast of New South Wales and a UNESO world heritage declared area. The island developed from submarine volcanic activity and hosts an amazing diversity of marine and terrestrial species.

The island is home to several species of breeding seabirds, including White Terns, Sooty Terns, Black Noddy and Common Noddy as well as the endemic Lord Howe Woodhen.
